Michelle Wu was elected Mayor of Boston by a landslide on November 2, 2021, making her the first woman and person of color elected to the position. She ran on a progressive campaign, calling for economic, racial, and climate justice. Senators Elizabeth Warren & Ed Markey, Representative Ayanna Pressley, the Sunrise Movement of Massachusetts, and many others endorsed Wu. Her bold ideas to build a better Boston for everyone inspired a broad and diverse grassroots movement.
As a volunteer for the Wu campaign, I lettered and illustrated the primary slogans. This led to the opportunity to design Wu's official campaign posters. Once elected, I was hired to design the inaugural seal.
