The Freed Seed Federation is a non-profit founded by Westport farmers Bill Braun & Deanna Levanti — their mission is to preserve, improve, and diversify place-based, climate-resilient seed for the public domain. By restoring the farmer’s role as participant in the plant breeding process, they are building true food security from the ground up.
Bill & Dee approached me to design a flexible and utilitarian logo system for FSF. The angelica plant has particular significance to them, so I incorporated the plant into the design.
